From January 10-14, 2009, representatives from Syngenta Biotechnology China (SBC), Syngenta Biotechnology Inc (SBI). and Syngenta Seeds NAFTA attended the Plant & Animal Genome XVII Conference in San Diego, Calif, one of the largest ag-genomics conferences worldwide.
Bringing together over 2000 participants from across the world, PAG has been an annual ritual for plant & animal genome scientists for the past one and a half decades. This year, in addition to attending the many valuable plenary lectures and workshops to learn and discuss recent developments in genome studies for crop improvement, Syngenta also set up a booth at the exhibition section to promote Syngenta brand, demonstrate our technology advances, which attracted a good flow of visitors.
The exhibit well demonstrated Syngenta’s position as the leading player in agricultural technology, and provided a good platform for Syngenta representatives to reach out to top-level scientists, and interact with a variety of participants and exhibitors ranging from academics to private industry to professional organizations.
"I hope our promotion efforts today will transform into good business opportunities tomorrow and place Syngenta in a stronger position in the rapidly growing industry,” concluded Xun Wang, Head of Syngenta Biotechnology China.
